The same goes for trees that are decorated with christmas lights. They might look shiny and beautiful as you go down the street when the sun has set and the lights are on. But as soon as you see them entangled in all that cable in broad daylight, all you can think of is "what have we done?". A very sad sight.
I sometimes feel a mild pain/itch/prickling when I'm lying in bed and the charging cable of my mobile phone is touching my bare skin. It just feels unpleasant and I always put my blanket in between. There are also people who claim to suffer from what is called
electromagnetic hypersensitivity. LMs would probably fit into this category. And who knows, it could just be a matter of time until we all do...
edit 19th Nov.: Last week when I held a magnetic adblue adapter in my hand I could feel it in my whole forearm (but only for a second in the moment I grabbed it).
